Homeowners answer texts. They frequently do not answer calls. The problem with that in a roofing business is that the conversation ends up on a rep's personal phone, and when the rep is out sick - or leaves - the history goes with them.
The Twilio integration gives the company its own numbers and logs every message to the job. Anyone with access to the project can see what was promised, when the crew was told they were coming, and what the homeowner said about the gate code. Automated updates go out on job milestones, so the customer hears from you without someone remembering to send it.
Because messaging is included in the plan rather than sold as an add on, there is no per feature charge from Trussi. You do connect your own Twilio account, so Twilio's usage pricing applies on their side.

How to connect Twilio
- 1Open Settings › Integrations and select Twilio.
- 2Enter your Twilio account SID and auth token.
- 3Provision or assign the numbers your team will send from.
- 4Complete carrier registration for business messaging if you have not already.
- 5Configure which job milestones trigger an automated message and send a test.
Connections are managed in Settings › Integrations by an account admin, and can be disconnected at any time without affecting the job history already in Trussi.
